The household financial situation is improving for consumers, but sentiment is weak, and this may affect their spending pattern and price sensitivity, although they are happy to splurge for the occasion. Costs are expected to edge up, but by how much is hard to predict as we enter a year where concerns about trade restrictions and tariffs may affect food prices and, potentially, availability.
