Account Closures / Discontinued Products / Dormant Accounts

ACC Loan Management DAC (ACC Loan Management or ACCLM) was formerly known as ACC Bank plc or ACCBank. In June 2014 the banking license was returned to the Central Bank of Ireland, the company name changed to ACC Loan Management and standard banking products such as current and savings accounts were no longer available from ACCLM.

Deposit/Current Accounts

If you previously held a deposit account or had a current account with funds in it with ACCBank and did not hear from us, it may be that we were unable to establish a current address or other means of contact for you. As part of the withdrawal of certain banking services, all deposit accounts and current accounts with credit balances were closed. Any residual balances, i.e. monies that could not be returned to customers, are being held in trust until former customers reclaim their funds. In addition, prior to 2014, your account may have become dormant (i.e. there had not been any customer transaction in the preceding 15 years) and the funds were transferred to the NTMA in accordance with the Dormant Accounts Act. If you think that you are affected by any of the foregoing, please contact us to discuss this matter.

To reclaim funds you will need to download and complete the relevant Funds Reclaim Form (ACCBank Closed/Dormant Accounts)

Please note that you will need to provide proof of identification together with BIC and IBAN details for an account in your name in order to enable these funds to be transferred to you. The Funds Reclaim Form specifies the ID documentation that is required.

Bank Drafts

If you are the holder of an uncashed Bank Draft issued by the former ACCBank it can no longer be processed directly through the Irish Banking network and you will need to contact us about this. Download and complete a Bank Draft Encashment Form.

Please note that you will need to provide proof of identification together with BIC and IBAN details for an account in your name in order to enable these funds to be transferred to you. The Encashment Form specifies the ID documentation that is required. You are also required to enclose the original Bank draft with the form and specified ID.
